Who are Arise Virtual Solutions UK?

Arise Virtual Solutions have been established since 1995 with offices based in the UK, US and Canada and provides home based call centre agents with a digital telecommunications platform that makes it easy to work from home as a customer services professional working on behalf of some of the worlds biggest brands.

How Does it Work?

Once you have registered onto the Arise platform you will choose a client to work for and complete a client certification (training) which lasts anything from 2 – 4 weeks.

When you have completed your certification you will be able to choose the days/times that you wish to work. At the start of your shift you will log into our clients systems online using your computer then you will start receiving calls directly into your phone/landline. You will then answer the phone and handle the call as if you are in a call centre.

It truly is a great opportunity but you do have to be self disciplined and motivated you also have to have some basic IT skills and knowledge.

Think of it as your own call center at home. You choose which company you provide services for and the pay rate is based on the client you choose. You choose how many hours you work and you choose when you work those hours. Full Time or Part Time.

Can I choose to work from anywhere?

You must reside within the United Kingdom and must be 18 years or older. If you move to somewhere else within the UK whilst working with our clients you can simply log in and take your work with you.

What type of services will I provide as an independent contractor?

There are a variety of client programs for which you can choose to partner with. These can vary from sales, customer service, technical support, email support and chat support.

As an independent contractor it is up to you to decide which client you wish to work for based on your schedule, previous experience, skills, what you feel you will in enjoy most.

How much money can I make?

Your compensation can be as little or as big as you wish to make it. You choose the client that you want to service. Some people choose a client just for the hourly rate. Some choose a client because they’re open 24/7 and some choose a client that is super easy with less hourly pay.

You set your own schedule and choose when and how much you would like to work.

Am I guaranteed a certain number of hours?

Hours are posted weekly and you will book your schedule on a first-come, first-served basis. For this reason, we cannot guarantee a minimum number of hours; however, our agents do not usually have any difficulties finding the hours that they require to work. You can also certify for more than one client to ensure a maximum number of hours is available to you. We have some agents who are working 50+ hours per week servicing over a couple of clients.

What are the costs to get started?

Most people we speak to already have a landline, broadband connection and a computer/laptop assuming you already have these items you will need to have in place or purchase the following:

Certification Course / Training – £30

Background check – £25

USB Headset – £18.99

Telephone Headset – £21.99

Miscellaneous Items – £30 (Approximately)

Independent contractors are required to undergo a background check for each client opportunity. This is required as you may be handling or given access to sensitive customer information. The background check would be purchased on a government website if you proceed with your registration we will advise you on how/where to purchase this.

In order for you to be able to participate in the certification you will need a USB Headset with Microphone and in order for you to receive calls you will need a telephone headset which will plug into a standard landline connection.

As you are setting up to work from home you may find that you need additional telephone cables, telephone adaptors, USB sticks, network cables etc. If you happen to have everything you need then great if not you will need to just make sure you have everything in place before you start your certification. If you do find you need a full set of extra cables and adaptors this should typically come to no more than £20.

Please note you cannot purchase any of these items from us directly but if you decide to go ahead we will show you where to purchase these items online. Also we should point out that if you do not like the USB Headset or Telephone Headset that we recommend it is totally fine for you to purchase the items you prefer.

What on-going fees will I have to pay?

In total your monthly fees will come to a total of £40 per month. This is only charged in months when you are working. If you have not worked in a certain month you will not be charged a fee for that month. Your fees will be deducted from the payment you receive for your hours worked. Fees will never exceed £40 per month and there will be no other deductions from the payment you receive.

50% of this fee goes to The Virtual Call Centre Network who has to cover costs such as system maintenance, payroll, banking, direct deposit fee’s. We also support you through the registration process, certification and throughout your time on the platform.

The other 50% covers the cost of using the digital platform which allows calls to be routed to your landline and gives you access to our client systems.

What Do I Need to Know About Client Certification / Training?

Training takes place online, it is instructor led and lasts between 2 – 4 weeks.

The Virtual Call Centre Network Ltd does not pay for the time spent in a client certification course.  The Virtual Call Centre Network are middlemen between our Partners, Clients and the Authorized agents, Independent Contractors, Sole Proprietors and Freelancers working from home. As an Authorized agent, Independent Contractor, Sole Proprietor or Freelancer, you are responsible for any certification needed that is required to educate yourself to properly provide your services to the client.

100% attendance is mandatory and we will advise you of the dates/times of the classes prior to you enrolling onto a certification. If you are not able to make any of the specified training dates we would advise that it may be better for you not to enrol onto the certification on this occasion. Please note the certification fee is non-refundable.

Are we responsible for our own taxes?

If you proceed with this opportunity you will be working as an Authorised Agent, Independent Contractor, Sole Proprietor or Freelancer and will be responsible for your own taxes. Furthermore you are not eligible to receive unemployment, overtime or benefits as Authorized agents, Independent Contractors, Sole Proprietors and Freelancers.

The Virtual Call Centre Network does not take deduct any taxes from your payment on your behalf. The Virtual Call Centre Network will be happy to put you in touch with professional tax advisors who will be able to advise you on what you are able to write off and what deductions you can take as an independent contractor.

How long before I can start working and earn a get my first payment?

The admissions process takes as little as 1 day. Once you complete the admissions process and join the Virtual Call Centre Network you then choose a client certification course.

How quickly you can get up and running is often dependant on when a client is running their certification course. Certification typically takes 2 – 4 weeks but once complete you can start working immediately. As part of the interview process we provide you with the exact dates so you can decide if the timing will work for you.

How do I get started?

Arise Virtual Solutions UK do not hire call centre agents directly. Instead they outsource the task of finding call centre staff to companies such as The Virtual Call Centre Network.

If you get in contact with The Virtual Call Centre Network we first of all explain to you how everything works from start to finish. Although this article will give you an insight into how it all works if we explained everything from start to finish the article would probably be way too long to hold your interest. So when you contact us we will explain everything in a way so you full understand what’s involved and what to expect. We would also let you know which clients are currently recruiting onto the platform.

Once everything has been explained to you fully we would then assist you with the registration process and provide you with help in completing your assessments.

We would then help you with the enrolment onto the training course. Once you have completed your training you can then begin working from home as a customer services agent receiving calls at home on behalf of some of the UK’s most well known brands.
